It seems the situation has subsided, somewhat. And I'm no longer speaking like Aura. Thank Morganna... Takeru, if you still require my assistance, I have a theory that could possibly assist in resolving your issue. Possibly permanently.

And I've become to believe that recieving random objects is a common occurrance. To whomever made the scarf, you ( Read more... )

wtf mate, au: takashi takeru, aura

It's good to know that you're feeling better. You weren't conscious when I left, but I figured you would be fine after the storm.

And what theory would that be?

I lost consciousness? ...Why am I not surprised?

Use one thing to control another? In a few exceedingly rare cases, there are records of certain people being able to control AIDA, which supposedly is uncontrollable. If it's possible to recreate a less-hostile copy of said entity, you could control it into isolating, absorbing, and quite possible irradicating the second consciousness within you. Afterwards, it would be a simple task to remove it, assuming the restraining devices would allow it.

Well, you were fairly damaged.

I've finished your program, by the way.

Assuming they would allow it, yes. It would be an interesting experiment... the most likely negative consequence would be that it is not allowed, and I'll be knocked out for a few hours. Which isn't too much of a loss here.

Really? That was faster than I expected.

I was more worried about being unable to ultimately remove it. On the chance the copy itself goes malignant, there would be more problems to deal with than just a voice in your head.

Pardon me, I don't mean to intrude, but I was reading over your previous entries, and I noticed one at the beginning that had a lot of code... are you involved in computer work, by any chance? I don't know too many people here, and I thought perhaps someone with a common interest would be a good contact.

There is no need to apologize, as there was no intrusion. ... I suppose I could be considered "involved" in computer work, in the sense that I am one. I was an AI created for multiple purpose use along the lines of maintenance and preservation of data alongside deletion of harmful entities. Would this fall under the definition of "common interest", Unit #52385?

...Interesting. You may be from another world than I am, then, as I have yet to see an AI that is truly intelligent... and you seem to not be regurgitating preprogramed responses. You are a more advanced version of antivirus software, then? And yes, it would.

There are programs like that where I originate. Usually Vital Vistas or other random event monsters. Antivirus? ...Partially, yes, but not entirely. The best definition one could give is I'm a failsafe impanted in 'The World'.

You're welcome for the scarf.

That symbol had a meaning? I was just doing random knitting.

That was random? Maybe I have inherited Ashto's luck...

But yes, it does have a meaning to myself and another here.

watanukichan August 9 2007, 21:04:06 UTC
Yes, it was. I just thought it looked nice and then passed thigns out at random.

Oh, if it upsets you in anyway, I can give you something different.

It was a nice gesture, especially considering how crazy everyone has been acting lately.

I have no problems with it. It's just ironic.

So is the yelling guy all right?

Good thing you're doing better. That weird talk was...uh, well, weird.

stfunottriedge August 9 2007, 21:23:55 UTC
"Yelling guy"? ... Hypocrite.

It wasn't really weird. Just broken text.

What?! Hey! I don't sit around in our bathroom screaming, you know!

Okay but jd8fsnms902*&$ might be broken but it's weird, too.

stfunottriedge August 9 2007, 21:31:33 UTC
You manage to scream everywhere else though.

It was the same as normal text. Just random symbols and numbers in certain places. Which means you just can't read phonetically.

... That's a hard riddle! I think mine got misplaced in the mess around here.

But I'm glad people are giving you gifts!

stfunottriedge August 10 2007, 02:56:40 UTC
I already know the answer to it. It simply has another meaning that sent me for a spin.

... Are you always this happy?

twilightshero August 10 2007, 03:04:26 UTC
Oh, you do, huh? I guess it would be that though, huh? I'm definitely not as smart as a computer!

Better happy than sad, you know!

A candle. It's not that hard. It lives as long as it's able to give light, and it sacrifices itself to do said duty until it ultimately stops existing. Hence, irony.

Even so.
