Use one thing to control another? In a few exceedingly rare cases, there are records of certain people being able to control AIDA, which supposedly is uncontrollable. If it's possible to recreate a less-hostile copy of said entity, you could control it into isolating, absorbing, and quite possible irradicating the second consciousness within you. Afterwards, it would be a simple task to remove it, assuming the restraining devices would allow it.

Okay, mental checklist. At low levels of infection rate, there is mild memory loss and paralysis in certain areas of the body. As the infection spreads, there will be isolation and magnification of certain negative emotions, physical changes, and total paralysis of the affected areas. Ultimately, the consciousness would be absorbed by said entity and all attempts of removal would render the original host into a coma or worse.

Mind you, this is only if the program goes malignant. Normally, it's perfectly safe.
