When I went to get served, I got id'd, this is a relatively frequent occurence even though I am 26, however, I do not drive, and I do not find it acceptable or convenient to carry a 5" long passport on my person. Student cards aren't acceptable because they're too easy to forge. You can get proper ID cards though if you don't have a driver's liscense. It's really not the bar staff's fault. Legally they have to ID people and can only accept valid ID.
