My 10 PM flight out of San Diego was cancelled. I was supposed to go from there to Philly, and then to Greensboro. Comic Con is so great! Today I got autographs from Dan Slott and found out from him that he wrote an upcoming episode of the "Fantastic Four" cartoon, which features She-Hulk, and also has cameos from Squirrel Girl and another GLA member. Early this morning David and I headed to the airport to fly out to Oakland. I took too long to get moving, though, and we just barely missed the "you must check in at least 30 minutes before your flight" deadline which I didn't know existed but which David says has been in place since 9/11. I had a highly-enjoyable end to the school year. On memorial day weekend I was even invited to a cookout by some of my students. I had to show up late since I was doing grading, and the food was mostly gone by then, but it was still nice. I sort-of learned to play Cornhole while watching Riley go at it. I keep an eye on the "illustration blog" run by GuriHiru, the artists from the new Power Pack comics, because I find her/their style so appealing. A recent post shows the most adorable Sinister Six ever (the Spider-Man villians). Oh, and earlier this month she drew a cute Transformers picture with Spike, Carly, and Bumblebee. After ComicCon, I immediately had to go to Syracuse to attend an AAPT conference. While there, I took some pictures of campus, and on the van-ride back to Columbus, we stopped at Niagara Falls for a couple hours and I took more pictures there.
