I want to tape all of these but I don't have access to TCM. Kind of irritating.

On another note. A few years ago i went to Anime Central (2002 i think) and watched Subbed Robotech in one of the viewing rooms for a couple of hours. It's more or less identical to the Dub version and I don't get what the huge deal is.

I didn't realize they were showing subtitled versions! I'll have to check some of these out.

The changes made to Macross were, as I understand it, pretty minimal. And I would guess that even in the other two "chapters" of Robotech, the vast majority of the scripting was pretty faithful. But, although the volume of changes may have been small, the significance of those changes was arguably large. The changes were mostly part of Macek's tying together of their backstories. It was very sloppy in some places. Personally, I think that sloppily connecting the three shows is way better for everyone involved than for Macross to have simply not aired in the US at all, and I certainly enjoyed the series anyway. I don't consider it a train wreck or a disgrace, even though some people do.

Still, it would sort have been nice for "protoculture" and stuff to have been presented as it was in the original story (where it was, I think, the race that humans and zentradi were both descended from) instead of warped into some weird magic flower energy source thing for the sake of making New Generation / Genesis Climber Mospeada seem

I love Spirited Away! Ever since we watched it I often say, "THANK YOU! CAN I HAVE A JOB PLEASE!!!?" in her little excited voice.

Also - I can't remember if I acknowledged your awesome kit kat care package or not, but I loved it, and thank you! I got it just after I sent you yours and I thought, aww, how perfect!

I liked your Kit Kats, too! Thanks! The lemon cheesecake one was very strange... it was kind of disturbing for chocolate-textured stuff to taste like cream cheese!

Also, congratulations. :)

Remind me sometime around the 18th or so about Totoro and Porco Rosso; I've been meaning to see both.
