I don’t use Android, but did the same research for my iPhone too. I went from a 6s to an 8, and love it. Apple for me, is more disability friendly. My home office is Apple, and my ability to be productive matters a lot. After looking at your list of options, the Samsung Galaxy 9 seemed to be better than the others. I know you love photography, so while reading your post, I zeroed in on the camera features. My hope is you post again when you have made your decision so I can support you. Cheers!

Thanks for the comments. I considered the options, and it looks to me like the 8 is the best compromise of price and features. My reasoning is in my March 7 message, which I'm about to make public.

(Often I write an outline of a message, but don't make it public until I expand the outline into smooth prose. Sometimes it takes a while before I make messages public; sometimes I don't expand them to prose right away, and sometimes I do that but forget to change them from private to public.)
