AJ had some trouble getting to sleep last night. I was exhausted and forgot to turn on the white noise machine that we have been using every night. I only just realized it this morning. I suppose it's good to go without it from time to time. Still, I know I could have gotten her down so much easier.

I'm trying to explain to my daughter that it is Pooh Bear not "Poopie Bahr"!

I was invited to write an article for the Fall issue of Wise Traditions (newsletter for the Weston A. Price Foundation) about my experience in cooking for the kids at Sequoia Academy. Every year my dad hauls a bunch of his restored antique tractors down the road to the Rock River Thresherie to show them off. This year I decided to help him out by driving a tractor in the daily "Parade of Power". I went and watched a safety video to get approved as an operator. She's a handful, but oh so cute!

I just haven't figured out yet how to do much besides being a mom. I do want to let all my friends know that I still care. I will be in the Twin Cities (with baby) on July 1st. Will anyone be around for visits?

I love being a mom! So what if I am not getting much else done today.

My mom uses fluorescent bulbs in her house but changes them when she has company because she thinks the fluorescents are ugly. I plan to keep my fluorescents in even with company, but what else would anyone expect from me?! It certainly does change the look of these Victorian-style light fixtures, but oh well.

We weren't in a hurry to find a new home, even though the one we are in is too small for us. We just kind of started looking for fun and to see what was available.
