I finally booked my flights to Camp Sparkle! To Birmingham because that was cheaper. In fact I paid about the lowest amount ever for a flight since Ryanair got over its first few years and started inventing all these new fees to push the price higher. Camp Sparkle only runs till Friday but I'm staying in Birmingham till Sunday ( Read more... )

Hmmm, that really depends on whether or not you'd like to go and see a bit of London before you fly home. Personally I'd just stay in Birmingham to save some money, the train route between London and Brum is has pretty high traffic and the train tickets can be a bit pricey. Check http://www.nationalrail.co.uk for ticket prices.

When are you arriving in the UK? Eeeeeeeee Camp!

I'd like to see a bit of London because I know London and I haven't done nearly everything I wanted to back in January. I have no idea if Birmingham has anything worth seeing.

But you're right, price-wise it'd be better to stay in Birmingham (I swear that website gives me different prices and times every time I check). And I've since found out there's Pride in Birmingham that weekend; I'm so staying!

I have no idea about hostels in Birmingham, I only ever stayed in hotels there. But I think it would be cheaper to just stay there instead of going back and forth.

I know what you mean about the posts... I'm kinda glad I don't code the samdean thingy anymore. When I post to comms I try to cram everything into one day if I can manage. I'm totally happy with just one mention in the newsletter.. lol

Interesting poll.

I swear I found a rather cheap ticket from London to Birmingham (Camp to London wouldn't be a problem, I could've gotten a ride with the others) but somehow I can't recreate that. Anyway, I've decided to stay in Birmingham, it's Pride that weekend!

I admit it, being linked twice is nice and possibly does increase the hits on your post. And I usually post to more than one community, too. But spreading twenty posts over a week so that every single person in fandom has to stumble over your stuff at least once is going way too far.

Interesting poll.

I don't know, I was just interested what makes people read a certain story and what turns them off. :)
