Don't you UK guys have one website where I can look up how to get from point A to point B, regardless whether it's by train, bus, or, whatever, walking?

I'm trying to plan my way to and back from Camp Sparkle. So complicated! Since I want to save each possible vacation day for Peru, I'm thinking of flying in on Saturday (there's also still ( Read more... )

Travel wise, I can help steer you in the right direction. I'm not sure if there is a site for everything, it's more National Rail for trains and buses it depends on what company you need/want.

I might yell for help again when I continue this quest during the weekend. I think I'll need more time to figure out and compare each option than I have on a normal weekday.

I can't keep up with 200 tweets a day. It's not your fault

ME TOO OMG. i don't even try anymore, i just look at recent tweets when i have time or need a distraction for a few minutes... is that bad? i didn't think people actually expected us to keep up with their minute-to-minute updates!

It's not bad! I usually do the same, or I scroll haphazardly through. I don't even try to answer anymore. But maybe tweet #195 is the one that I would've liked to read.

You can actually stop all the retweets at least. Right next to the "Follow" button there's a little phone sign and next to it another sign with two arrows. Uncheck that and you won't get retweets from that person. Unfortunately you'd have to uncheck that with every person so it might take some time.

And you can make lists with just the people you really want to read and all the rest for example. Almost like filtered lists on LJ.

Oh thank god. I knew there was a way to stop the retweets but I couldn't remember how. Although I don't really see the sense in only being able to disactivate them for each person individually, other than it's annoying.

I know there's lists, but the thing is, I still want to see "normal" tweets from everyone which of course I wouldn't if they're not in the list. And I don't know if lists work with Echofon for Firefox which I use to read (and write) tweets.

Yeah, lists don't seem to work for Echofon for FF, which is too bad. At least without the retweets things should be a bit less busy.

This is why I only follow 27 people on twitter (and some of them are never on, so it's more like 15). Twitter is, by definition, spammy, and that's why I didn't use it for 1.5 years after I made the account. Do feel free to defriend me there, I know I'm annoyingly spammy. :D (Seriously, I mean that.)

Well, you do post a lot. ;) But I still want to read your (and other's) "normal" tweets, so defriending anyone isn't really the solution.

You could try making filter lists on twitter, I've found that helps a bit. And it's totally okay to defriend me there, I know I've been super spammy lately. :)

I know there are filter lists, but the thing is that I do want to read all your tweets, I just don't want to wade through heaps of conversation tweets that don't interest me. It's difficult! ;)
