Don't you UK guys have one website where I can look up how to get from point A to point B, regardless whether it's by train, bus, or, whatever, walking?
I'm trying to plan my way to and back from Camp Sparkle. So complicated! Since I want to save each possible vacation day for Peru, I'm thinking of flying in on Saturday (there's also still stalking Jensen Ackles the Supernatural convention in Mannheim, but I guess "?420" is too much for an exclusive pass, no matter whether that's supposed to mean pounds or Euro). That would means that I need to make my own way to Alfreton, since the minibus shuttle typically runs on Friday. I'm fine with that, but there's so many options and so little ability on my part to figure things out and/or decide.
Last year I flew to Birmingham, which worked fine. But then, nopseud picked me up from the airport, and pensnest drove me to the nearest train station when I flew back. It might not work so well when I'm completely on my own.
I could also fly to London, that would maybe or maybe not make the way to Alfreton more complicated (longer, at least), but I could catch the minibus back. And I could stay a day or two longer in London. I haven't seen nearly everything over New Year's.
I'm thinking about deleting my Twitter account -- or at least "defriending" a lot of people. I don't want to say you all post too much, but. You post too much. ;) I can't keep up with 200 tweets a day. It's not your fault, I think it's more Twitter's fault, for not giving me the option to chose not to see people's replies to each other, or the retweets, that 99% of the time I'm not interested in. It feels like I'm at a party and hearing the conversations around me without being part of them and thus missing what I actually want to hear.
