once more, with feeling

Feb 07, 2008 22:08

This morning in Starbucks, while I was waiting for J., I got out my notebook and wrote two pages. After we met up, as we were walking to the parking lot, it suddenly hit me that I had actually written something for the first time since Christmas Day, and I felt something unknot in my chest. I could have cried ( Read more... )

real life, writing, oh god oh god we're all gonna die

I know I said it already, but I am very happy that you wrote. I just read the thing, and yesyesyes. There is NO need for you to be ambivalent about it.

You have my number. Call if you ever want to talk. (about anything)

I'm so glad that I wrote, too. And, and! I wrote again today, both at lunch and after work. (I tried something new[ish], and it worked.) With a few days' perspective, I'm also feeling pretty good about the thing. And about that 'verse in general -- I maybe have a couple of other ideas about stuff we could do, both with the thing and with other side adventures.

One day soon I am going to call you just for the hell of it.

Sometimes getting well from being sick takes a long time, much longer than we think it should *hugs* And definitely, being in the office is probably not helping, is there a way to take an extra day or two off on monday, tuesday to help you get that little bit better? I know you're swamped but I'm sure people would understand your desire to kick the cold's ass for sure! *more hugs*

Yay writing! :D

The strike going on for this long is pretty disturbing to me ://

*hugs* Thank you. It really does take a long time, and it's been *so* exhausting. This week I think that I've maybe finally started to feel a bit of a shift. I think the humidifier I bought has helped to make the difference. I've been less tired (not counting the usual workday malaise), and I haven't been thrown back into any coughing fits. *fingers crossed*

I did stay home last Monday and Tuesday, and I think that's about all I can manage for awhile unless I end up at death's door, despite the fact that I have ridiculous, Mac-level amounts of vacation time accrued. On the bright side, we do have a three-day weekend, which means that we should also close up the office at mid-day on Friday. That should help, too.

Yay writing! I wrote again today.

And THANK GOD the damn strike is finally over. Now if someone can just sit on Alan Rosenberg's head and avoid a SAG strike in June, we should be aces.

I get perpetually worried about getting sick in the winter, because it always seems ten times worse then, what with our bodies trying to stave off the cold to begin with.

Hurray for holidays! :D We have one next Monday because the Ontario government decided to invent a new holiday called Family Day or something, so we are all supposed to play board games together and whatnot LOL

I need to write some more CSY:NY sometime, I haven't done it in AGES!

Gah SAG strike *knocks on wood* Ha ha I used the expression 'aces' as well *g*
