Wow, I never do public posts.

Okay guys, I know this is like a week or so late, but I really need to vent about this. A Song of Ice and Fire is a pretty small fandom (at the moment anyway) not in that a lot of people don't read the books, but in that if you see someone's handle on one forum, you know who they are in all the other ones. I love ontd_asoiaf. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and people aren't assholes (usually).

Ridiculous! I agree completely. There is only one person in that community I personally can't stand but she isn't over the top rude ...just obsessed with her hate...but whatever. That has nothing to do with the point of your post - just venting here.

I LOVE that community yay yay yay! The sparkle text is sometimes annoying and sometimes fun. I deal! It's one of the FEW communities that I keep on my default view too and one of the few I actually read most of the posts and most of the comments ...while I neglect many of my own friends' posts ...shhhh

I know exactly who you're talking about but yes.

ontd_asoiaf is one of the few reasons I keep my LJ, tbh. And I've met so many awesome people in that community, whereas most other forum sites are not very welcoming/too snarky/too serious/or just ROOD.

It's a great stress relief to comb through ontd_asoiaf ! That is probably one of the biggest reasons I love it there. I feel happy and amused and comforted to find posts there daily when so many of my friends and other communities so rarely update!
