YUK.

This Seattle weather sucks! I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this right now. It’s 6:50pm Thursday night, and I’m sitting in the dark, with candles around me and a fire going. Sounds nice and cozy, right? Well, it would be, if A)it were by choice, or B)I had someone to share the ‘coziness’ with.

For those of you who don’t know what’s going ( Read more... )

wow, almost 11 weeks already?! so exciting! glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

i hope you will be able to clean out your fridge if it looks like the power will be out for a while. take it from me, you do NOT want the food rotting in there! thankfully it's cold there, and not august!

but really i just hope you get your power back soon!

Hi Pam!
I know, 11 weeks tomorrow....time flies!
I don't think it will get too bad in there, as the fridge/freezer is staying closed for now and since there's no heat in the house, it is COLD there (it was down around freezing overnight and isn't supposed to heat up more than the low 40s today).
Thanks, I hope we do too!

Hi Stef! So happy that you're safe and sound with Greg. Not having power is such a inconvenience. What would we have done when there was no power, TVs, radios, etc. We take everything for granted!

I can't believe that you are 11 weeks along already. Can you believe you only have about 6 months to go?

I did hear about all of the terrible weather in Seattle. I'm hoping things clear up so you and enjoy your weekend!

BTW, pregnancy would be a wonderful excuse for me to eat Mickey D's all the time :)

I can't tell you how happy I was when he pulled in the driveway Thursday night. We do take a lot for granted. Just think; without power, none of us would 'know' each other!

Don't remind me that there's only 6 months left to go! ;) I feel like I have so much to do, but can't do it until I know what we're having!

The weather has cleared up a bit (no more wind or rain) but there are still about 600,000 people without power right now. Hopefully it comes back soon!

That sucks that you are having to deal with the crazy storm, but I'm glad you guys are safe. Hopefully you get your power back soon. No fun!

You're almost out of the tired phase ... just hang in there! And if it makes you feel better, the only thing I could choke down for a while was fast food, too. And I started drinking sodas again when I hadn't had one in over a year before getting pg. Now I have a Dr. Pepper every day!! It's so not fair that your body starts to crave unhealthy things when we're supposed to be eating healthy. For what it's worth, my Dr. told me not to worry about it and just eat what I could keep down and we would re-evaluate if I started gaining too much. Luckily this hasn't happened.

Take care!

I know, the power being out is not fun. But we are lucky that we are safe and together.

The fast food thing is kind of gross (especially since I hadn't eaten it for so long before getting pg). If anything, I've lost weight, so I'm not concerned about that. And my dr did say to eat what I can for now. I haven't been able to take my vitamins either (too big to swallow when I already don't feel well) so she told me to take children's chewables! Yay! :)

Hope you're doing well...I can't believe you only have about 4 weeks left! So exciting!!!

I feel pretty lucky, we never lost power and so have been just hanging out. Glad to hear from you, and it sounds like you are feeling just like me. Our tree has beein in our garage for a week and I almost could care less if we put it up because I am so tired. When again is your due date?

You are VERY lucky!!! Greg offered to bring the tree in yesterday and I told him that we couldn't decorate it yet because we have to put the lights on first and can't do that in the dark, so he said "nevermind then"....so it's STILL out in the carport!
I'm due July 8. What is your official due date now that you've been to the dr?

They only moved my due date three days, so to June 30th. However, I have to have a C-section due to some previous medical issues, so it will be one to two weeks before that. I'm guessing I'll have the baby between June 15th and June 23rd. But the baby was already measuring nine days large when I had my u/s on Thursday, so we'll see!

I have a feeling that by the time June 15th gets here, I'll be ready to be done being pregnant, too! ;) hee hee! Wow, sounds like a big baby already!!

We got power back last night around midnight. I was so happy. I know lots of people don't have it still. We lost all the food in our fridge and freezer though. Ugh.

You are lucky! We still don't have power....Greg drove by our house around 8:30 this morning and it still wasn't on. So frustrating! Sorry to hear you lost everything in your fridge/freezer. :(
