Ha, loved it, so true, David Cameron is using as many of those tricks as possible to make us look like greedy, parasitic members of society when all we are asking for is a fair deal. Like to see him running a school or working on the ward, he's never done a proper days work in his life!

It's sad how willing people are to be fooled by it.

Thank you for making the point about support for the strike vs. support for the winner in the general elections. Every time a strike is threatened in my department they trot out that old "not supported" thing, and every time I make this point.

It's just insanely hard to get a high proportion of people to vote for anything, no matter how important. Not to mention the fact that union has a hard time getting an up to date list of its members addresses -- because really, if you move address, they're probably not top of your list to tell (a fact which some employers have previously used as an excuse to claim strikes were illegal in recent history).

Accurate, brilliant and all the more the depressing because of it.

It sit directly behind a Tory Councillor at work, he recently lost his seat but he's still an top-class gobshite. He was recently attempting to perpetuate the sort of nonsense above and we mentioned something similar "Perhaps we should apply your proposed rules on voter turnout to the elections". He went incredibly red and, for once, shut the feck up.
