Col des Vents, 2008 Corbieres with cheese
Last night I opened the Corbieres and tasted a bit. This is a wine which is rustic and tough to love on day one but opens-up to a lovely chap from the French countryside on day two. Working in wine
I purchase wines for classes and sell samples for my vineyard. As you can imagine, at the end of day there is less than a glass of wine left in several bottles. Not always, but often, it is OK to take that bottle home to enjoy the 5/7 of a glass later ( Read more... ) -
Travel west
I'm on my way to Las Vegas. I haven't been in some time. Looking forward to seeing an old friend and maybe the Bellagio fountains. Also a side trip to the Grand Canyon which I've never seen.

I taught my first wine class!
This past weekend I taught Wine Tasting 101. I had 24 people in my class and everyone paid $30 per person. I had a blast! It was about two hours and they flew by with everyone having a pretty good time. Half the class signed-up on the spot for my next class, so I take that as a very good sign for my first time out ( Read more... ) -
