Day: 4 Characters: Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones Summary: A night-time rendevous When: Night, shortly after the cells have unlocked Where: Cell 002 and surrounding area Status: Complete
"Just checking I'd got the right room," Jack quipped instinctively, giving Ianto a wide-eyed innocent gaze as he slipped into the cell. "Sneaking into the wrong person's room in the middle of the night can give people all sorts of unwelcome impressions, you know."
He closed the door quietly behind him but didn't move from it for a moment, just peering through the dark to drink in the sight of Ianto sitting there: in the flesh, solid, real. He'd been half-inclined to wonder if he'd imagined their conversation earlier - if, in fact, he was going crazy. But no, Ianto was definitely here.
Don't think about it. Just enjoy the fact that you have a little more time with him.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he took the few steps necessary to carry him across the room to Ianto, reaching out to take his hands, smiling. "Ianto. It's good to see you."
That embrace nearly tore Jack apart, but he still accepted it wholeheartedly, squeezing Ianto tight for a brief, intense moment, before relaxing into a comfortable hold. He wasn't ready to let go of Ianto just yet.
"Yeah, me too," he whispered, nuzzling briefly into the crook of Ianto's neck, breathing in his scent. "Even if it does rather narrow down our chances of getting rescued from the other end. Though I'll admit I wouldn't put it past Gwen to manage it. She's surprised me so many times before."
