I've been playing with making the garters with attaches accessories. I'm hording the vintage medical supplies but I came across some lab quality glass vials in the garage. (The other half is an environmental scientists...lots of gadgets).

Actually it's synthetic felt. And I even used a non-leather braided trim for the brim edge.

I think the feathers are the only animal product on the hat..and the feathers were natural sheds from my hair stylists bird (lightly spray painted gold..the feathers, not the bird!)

Do you have any pictures of your antique medical equipment? I would love to see it. I was recently gifted with a chemist's case from the late 1800's and it is fantastic.

No pics cept the ones I have used in items already sold. I mostly have vintage (not antique in the true sense) syringes, needles and even a early model voilet wand.

Here's my kit:

full set (minus the opium, apparently)

Laudanum for the Absinthe. This stuff is so old that it is a tar-like gum.

Some of the pills are still intact. There are a lot of pills that look like lumps of resin, and more quinine than you can shake a stick at.
