I was interested in steampunk many years ago. I wouldn't say that I "dabbled," seeing as I don't remember merely "dabbling" in anything but, for some reason, my active interest faded. But here I am in the present(or future, far past...or alternate present) looking for some cringes shopping advice.

Otherwise, I do believe I saw some rather nice ones at my local Target too, so that may be a good place to look. Vests are so very common, that I think a trip to your local thrift shop would yield a success.

I wasn't really thinking of cross-dressing. Made me laugh in a good way. Juniors department would be "proper" for me to wear but, as my style has changed, bust seams are becoming more of an annoyance, especially seeing as I don't really need it
msmcknittington is female, so her fitting comment could be discounted.
The Steam links/tags can be useful for females or males; Fluevogs have styles for any sex; I noticed women's flat-heeled footwear as many women don't want heels, so good as a general tip.
Actually, just a 'feel' for the convo flow, but anyone can find something to fit their Steam in the info above.
