With all the talk . . .
I posted this on my journal yesterday, but with all the continued discussion, I thought it may be appreciated here.
They are supposed to be gaiters, but they really just look like glorified leg warmers. However, with all the talk about gaiters/spats I thought I'd give it a try.
I cut the sleeves off of a shirt. Cut along the seam to make a slit to fit over shoes. Sewed on an assortment of brass colored buttons, none of them matching, along the other side. So the gaiters don't actually button, you just slip them on.
Cut up sleeves.
Inside of leg.

I hope this was of interest. If you would like to see pictures of the buttons I can upload those. They're all quite pretty. Now to work on my cheap-ass-spats.
