So, ages ago I promised a tutorial on how to do a simple steam punk updo, and now over two years later I've gotten around to it, a round of applause for procrastination, in any case, here it is (sorry about the video quality, but I think you'll get the idea.

My teeth hurt watching you try to open your bobby pins! Have you ever tried opening them with your top teeth? I can't help but think it would be much easier.....

I also agree, it would've been nice to have the camera aimed higher so we could see your hair.

I would've liked to have seen more backcombing; way more backcombing, but I'm assuming you didn't do more to save time.

But, as I am doing an updo for my next outfit, the general approach and sectioning was helpful.

Oh! And, does that comb have a name and where might we get one like it?
