XD Well, it took some googling and poking the internet with various search terms to turn these up... but yes, it is. <3

That's genius! I never would have thought to look for gears with the scrapbook supplies.

I don't scrapbook myself, but there's almost always neat stuff that can be repurposed-- I have some tiny cast metal d-rings and such that I've used for doll clothing, 3d square stickers to make mosaic flooring for miniatures... they tend to have big bags of themed mixed buttons, too, which are always useful, and I've oohed over brads that look like typewriter keys lots of times. :3

The gears are cast metal in copper, bronze/dark brass, and dark-ish silver/pewter patinas. All three finishes are included in one pack. I just ordered up a batch and will be adding them onto my steamy belly dance costume. I'll post pics on how I incorporated these wonderful gears into my ensemble. For anyone (in the Los Angeles area) who wants to see these gears in action...I'll be dancing in Mesmera's Showcase at Dar Maghreb (Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, CA) this Friday Oct 23 at 9pm.

I've used these gears for jewelry and key chains before, they hold up surprisingly well considering they are scrapbook fittings.

Thanks for the other links, I'd been looking for tiny little keys and drawing blanks on those.

I agree that these are very durable as opposed to actual watch/clock parts, which are so delicate.
