Nice!

I have a garter belt that has metal clasps and it is basically okay for thicker stockings/socks, but I really like how this turned out for you!

Thanks! I've got some "normal" clasps in metal, but they were still too flimsy for these stockings.

Those look great!

I am plus-sized so I have a problem finding knee/thigh high socks at all! I've been thinking about making some of these myself.

I'm not quite plus sized, mostly I'm just tall and healthy in a sturdy-peasant-stock sort of way, but I have found that thigh-high socks work great for me as knee socks. They don't even fall down too much!

I hear you. I'm not even plus-sized, but I've got fairly wide thighs, and have a hard time finding stockings and over-knees that actually fit around my thighs. Tights generally do, but stockings seem to be made mostly for people with skinny wand-like limbs... :\

depending on the socks, I'd slice little button holes in them so the stud buttons could show. they're that pretty!

I love seeing stuff that people have made themselves, and I'm actually a little disappointed that this wasn't an etsy horn-tooting post. let us know if you ever decide to make these to order.

Ooh, that's an idea! I'd have to be really careful though, so I just don't break any threads and run big ugly ladders down the stockings! But if the stitches are big enough, maybe I could poke a hole with an awl and just kind of push the threads aside, and sew buttonhole stitches around the edge...
