That's very nice of you! I've seen a lot of people with similar kind offers on the san_diego community and on sandiego.craigslist.org. If we had our own house instead of a smallish one bedroom apartment, we'd be doing the same. We reside near SDSU, so we are quite safe. Most everyone we know live in equally safe areas, thankfully. I think there's still a nervous energy in my neighborhood, though. I'd just gone to the grocery store to buy a couple of things and it was completely packed with people buying a ton of stuff. Madness.

Uh-oh. I remember the 2003 fires, same time of the year. The sky turned a nasty greyish-yellow and ash was falling in our backyard; it looked like the end of the world.
I'm impressed by how many of us are in SD. I'm in North EScondido, by Valley Center. We haven't been told to leave yet, so we're holed up here waiting by the radio and checking on the internet for updates.
