Both us mods (my boyfriend and I) are from San Diego too. It's absolutely horrible outside. Stay safe!

Absolutely! I hope you two are doing the same. Been trying to get the word out we have an empty house if you know anyone who needs a place to evac to.

That's very nice of you! I've seen a lot of people with similar kind offers on the san_diego community and on sandiego.craigslist.org. If we had our own house instead of a smallish one bedroom apartment, we'd be doing the same. We reside near SDSU, so we are quite safe. Most everyone we know live in equally safe areas, thankfully. I think there's still a nervous energy in my neighborhood, though. I'd just gone to the grocery store to buy a couple of things and it was completely packed with people buying a ton of stuff. Madness.

Fires = scary. Really huge fires = scarier. D=

As for your question....
Being the EGL-er I am, I started there. A quick search of the memories brought me this:

Hope that helps. If not...I dunno. D=

Uh-oh. I remember the 2003 fires, same time of the year. The sky turned a nasty greyish-yellow and ash was falling in our backyard; it looked like the end of the world.

As I'm currently relatively safe in Huntington Beach, I have floor room if you get in a bad spot. Good luck tonight.

I'm impressed by how many of us are in SD. I'm in North EScondido, by Valley Center. We haven't been told to leave yet, so we're holed up here waiting by the radio and checking on the internet for updates.

Once all this fire nonsense is over with we should all get together and celebrate!

Mount St. Miguel was scary last night. Hope all is well, my San Diegan friends!
