Progress of sorts!

Since I didn't have the cash to work on the actual body of my Von Grelle ensemble, I worked on accessories when I had time. Well I'm happy to say that A. I HAVE [a little] money now to make my corset! and B. I completed one of the gauntlets and my shako! Please pardon the shotty quality of my photos and the umm... stark contrast between my made up

oh what do they call that yellow-string thing on the hat?

also did you use buttons(what kind?) on the glove

Well I call it a shako cord- to anyone not in pretend-land it's a curtain tie-back.

And the buttons on the cuffs on the gloves I've had for ages and came in one of those huge bags of assorted buttons you can get at craft stores.

shako is the name for the hat!!!

Aiguillette is what you call the the cord on the shoulder or neck.

so its just a "cord" = a trimming made by twisting two or more strands of yarn together
