Nice Source for Watches

Last week I was shopping online, and found a deal on a pocket watch I couldn't believe. But I decided to go for it, ordered it, and it arrived today, just as advertised. I thought I'd share the site with all of you, in case you too want to get one (or any of their other very nice watches).

Quartz battery-powered watches usually seem to be the cheap ones, as there's nothing about them that's different from any other analog watch except the size and shape. The watch you pictured is one of those. Windup mechanical watches, which are more reminiscent of old-school pocketwatches, are harder to find. Electrical clocks are superior to mechanicals at keeping accurate time, and in today's society, they're probably also cheaper to make (fewer moving parts).

Ha, I think I've ordered from them too -- I have almost the exact same watch except mine has some gold filigree. The back window had "Made in China" printed on it, but I just rubbed it off with some nail polish remover -- it's really beautiful.

I adore pocket watches. THe one you pictured look like the ones given away in "the pocket watch collection" a magazine out each fortnight with a pocketwatch on the cover. THese were quartz but looked very nice and were certianly a great start to more eligant watches.
I personal like a skelital half hunter.. This is mechanical and the workings are visable. Prices start at £40.00 and I really think thery can be the finishing touch to any evening wear.
