I wanted to comment when this was posted as part of ficmix, but didn't manage to, so here I am now!

I knew I had to read this the moment I saw the premise you gave it. The original is presented in such a way that you root for vmin, so to turn that around and give jungkook a story that makes you feel for him instead...wow. I think it made for a fantastic fic. More than that, I think you pulled it off in a fantastic way. I'm getting kind of emotional just scrolling through it again ;__; There's something about reading a story you know isn't going to go the way you want it to, but hoping for it anyway? I felt so bad for jungkook, he never deserved any of this u__u

Then again, you did manage a compromise with the ending, which caught me entirely by surprise (it never occurred to me what the third choice was) but not in a bad way at all! What a ride. I was hooked from the start and actually remember feeling giddy when jungkook met taehyung for the first time, and nervous when jungkook realised jimin loved taehyung too. Also, the ikon

im so so so sorry for this late comment i meant to comment earlier and i wanted to reread this to properly comment but school took off on its own >____<

first of all, just to get this out of the way, i have to say that i absolute adored 97 line's dynamic (the hinted junhwan too uwu almost made me scream). This is the point where Jungkook usually tunes them out. Their bickering is so frequent that if Jungkook didn't know any better, he might think they were soulmates themselves. this is so ikon 97line!! bickering until the very end and donghyuk practically forcing his friendship on other people. even with their short cameos i felt like you captured their characters both really well

i love how taehyung and jungkook met. for someone who turned his life upside down and sideways, their meeting was rather normal?? i especially liked this line from the scene "I was afraid you might be an old guy," Jungkook admits, cheeks flushing. Behind him, Junhoe wheezes. jungkook is such a loser

but then!! things got even worse and theN THEY STARTED GETTING ALONG. screams at this He extends his wrist, and Jungkook takes it in his hand as Jimin slides his sweatband off. Jungkook sees it, the stopped zeroes and the blank space on his skin where a tattooed name should be. Jungkook runs his thumb over Jimin's veins and it strikes him then that Jimin is exposing the most intimate part of himself to Jungkook, his deepest secret. It's a responsibility Jungkook isn't sure he wants.

the scene when they went to the mall together was so cute and so lovely and i liked how despite jungkook's jealously, he does genuinely like jimin as a friend. it took them both awhile to warm up to e/o and it honestly much be so difficult for both of them!! jimin who doesn't have a soulmate and wants nothing more than to be jungkook so he can be taehyung's, and jungkook who is taehyung's soulmate yet still jealous of vmin's intimate relationship. and the fact that jungkook only had to call jimin and tell him about taehyung and he came back. they probably

also this scene: He stops when he sees Jungkook, squinting at him briefly like he's looking at one of those what's wrong with this picture? things. What's different about this living room? After a moment, his confusion gives way to an easy smile and he throws himself down on the couch between the two of them, his right thigh ending up half on top of Jungkook and his arms around both of their necks. just ouch. the fact that it takes taehyung amoment to register jungkook in the picture, i just want to scoop jungkook up and give him a hug (and jimin too cries i hate this)

i also feel like taehyung's big heart is what made everything so hard for everyone in this fic. the boy just loves too much. he loves jimin too much, his best friend, someone who he's always been with and they've struggled together and gone through so many things together. he also loves jungkook too much, his soulmate. taehyung, you just cant do this to both of them!!
