but then!! things got even worse and theN THEY STARTED GETTING ALONG. screams at this He extends his wrist, and Jungkook takes it in his hand as Jimin slides his sweatband off. Jungkook sees it, the stopped zeroes and the blank space on his skin where a tattooed name should be. Jungkook runs his thumb over Jimin's veins and it strikes him then that Jimin is exposing the most intimate part of himself to Jungkook, his deepest secret. It's a responsibility Jungkook isn't sure he wants.

the scene when they went to the mall together was so cute and so lovely and i liked how despite jungkook's jealously, he does genuinely like jimin as a friend. it took them both awhile to warm up to e/o and it honestly much be so difficult for both of them!! jimin who doesn't have a soulmate and wants nothing more than to be jungkook so he can be taehyung's, and jungkook who is taehyung's soulmate yet still jealous of vmin's intimate relationship. and the fact that jungkook only had to call jimin and tell him about taehyung and he came back. they probably would have been much better friends if they weren't in love with taehyung, but i think that despite their initial jealously (and later beneath the surface back of the mind kind of jealousy) they really did consider e/o friends, even though it was taehyung bridging the gap most of the time.

okay and now comes my obligatory vmin mention.

i just adore the way you wove their relationship into the story. their codependency, their bffery, the soft touches -- everything really. Jimin's face completely relaxes when he's talking about Taehyung, an unconscious smile tugging at his lips. Almost the same look Taehyung gets on his face when he tells him a story about Jimin from high school or gets a message from Jimin on his phone. Jungkook thinks maybe he should have asked about Jimin's dancing instead. like this is so ridiculous wHY IS JIMIN SO IN LOVE WITH TAEHYUNG??

"I mean, I have to ask Jimin first, but I think it would be good for us," Taehyung says, and he's looking at Jungkook all hopeful with his eyes wide and his bottom lip between his teeth. and also this too. even when he's dating jungkook, taehyung still places jimin's opinion equal (if not even a little bit more) to jungkook's (whether or not jimin actually tells him how much he's in pain is another story

i absolutely LIVE for the subtle touches vmin exchange with each other (both on stage and in fic) and i practically cried at those scenes too. It's one thing to know that Jimin and Taehyung are close, but it's another to see it-Taehyung's body curving into Jimin's, his hand resting on Jimin's lower back. Taehyung says something, too low for Jungkook to hear, leaning in so close that his lips must be brushing against the shell of Jimin's ear. Jimin smiles up at him, nothing short of adoring. theY JUST NEED TO STOP LOOKING AT E/O WITH SO MUCH ADORATION!!! it's painful (and rip jungkook, the poor kid) the two of them are so codependent on each other, like last year's taehyung's birthday tweets for jimin's bday as well as the whole hand-holding confession on the balcony at night "with just you i can go on forever" or smth like that. my heart asdjkfl; i just felt that you captured the two of them so well and now im rambling TT^TT

also this scene: He stops when he sees Jungkook, squinting at him briefly like he's looking at one of those what's wrong with this picture? things. What's different about this living room? After a moment, his confusion gives way to an easy smile and he throws himself down on the couch between the two of them, his right thigh ending up half on top of Jungkook and his arms around both of their necks. just ouch. the fact that it takes taehyung amoment to register jungkook in the picture, i just want to scoop jungkook up and give him a hug (and jimin too cries i hate this)

i also feel like taehyung's big heart is what made everything so hard for everyone in this fic. the boy just loves too much. he loves jimin too much, his best friend, someone who he's always been with and they've struggled together and gone through so many things together. he also loves jungkook too much, his soulmate. taehyung, you just cant do this to both of them!!

He can hear Taehyung's footsteps approaching, but he flinches when Taehyung touches him, arms squeezing around his middle and face pressed into Jungkook's back. "I want you to not go," Taehyung says. "You're hurting me," Jungkook says, and even he's not sure what kind of hurt he means. and At this, Hoseok just laughs. A small, bitter laugh that's unexpectedly cruel for someone as kind as Hoseok. "He left because of you, Tae."
cANT YOU SEE!! i think because he's so unwilling to give up either of the loves of his life, that it's just hurting everyone so much. i basically wailed when jungkook was broken because taehyung was broken, and how hurt he was at the thought of taehyung and jimin getting together. part of me felt kind of mad at taehyung for being well, selfish. because he's so unwilling to give up jungkook or jimin that he just ends up causing them pain instead. (or if only his heart didn't love that easily, then this problem wouldn't happen).

taehyung basically has the both of them wrapped around his finger too!! they would do anything for him. Jungkook does, because he hasn't yet figured out how to turn off that part of him that wants to indulge Taehyung. It's practically muscle memory. Their knees slot together and Jungkook's fingers finds their place on the soft spot above Taehyung's hipbone. Taehyung leans in until their foreheads are touching, his hands coming up to cup the back of Jungkook's head. just sOBS. and not to mention jimin having a painfully one-sided love for years and not saying anything to taehyung even though jungkook moving in just hurts him and is kind of a slap in the face.

LASTLY TEH ENDING. thE ENDING. your ending was absolutely wonderful. Jungkook's breath catches in his throat. "A trial run," he says. Taehyung snaps back up to attention, and Jungkook never did learn how to say no to him. "I'm. I'm not making any promises." oh jungkook ;_____; we all know he is going to stay, no matter what

i really liked the ambiguity for where maknae line's relationship goes. i like to think that all three of them end up together in a happy poly, with jimin and jungkook learning how to not only share taehyung but eventually love e/o as well. (cries i actually like this ending even better than mine). the ending still has me screeching, after i've reread it and just this remix was so wonderful ;____; the best remix ever <33 i just wanted to say thank you for writing such a great fic and i really really really do love your remix. (also, i'm sorry for the length of this comment and the amount of time it took me to actually comment. and if at any points i got rambly u____u)

(also, as one last comment, i wonder who he practiced with: It's his first kiss, he has no idea what he's doing but he can tell Taehyung has had some practice with the way he guides Jungkook's head, coaxing his mouth open with his tongue.)
