They had left early, and had traveled a great distance, stopping for breakfast and coffee, and of course, bathroom breaks. It had been a long journey, but there were only a few hours left till they reached the music festival. Then there were hotel reservations that had been made, and they'd get going again the next day, back for home.

Rube leaned against the van, looking at the post-its that were necessitating his going along as a chaperon on this trip.

He hated these jobs. "This weekends gonna give me a headache." he muttered.

This, was not how Rube preferred to spend Superbowl Sunday. But it was how he almost always wound up spending it because as sure as the sun sets, two drunk guys would get into a fight somewhere, and he'd have to reap the loser. Sometimes even the winner.

So here he was. Hating football.
