That sucks. It always feels worse not going out when you feel like you actually can't.
I had something similar happen when I had to stay in so they could deliver the oven. It took them three months and two ovens to actually arive because they kept damaging it in transit, then they didn't know my address and, when it got here, it wasn't the right oven.

That oven thing sounds like an absolute nightmare. Ugh. I hope you got somewhat compensated for all of their mistakes.
