I went to the department party today, held at the lovely home of one of my favorite professors. I wasn't there three minutes when I discovered that the professor was feeling stressed in part because I had shown up. I've decided that I'm going to the movies--Chronicles of Narnia. I read the book just a few days ago, and I feel like a little stress-free indulgence. I doubt Shawn will mind an indulgence of $5.75. So today I found out that my tough professor actually sent a few of the final exams back for revision, they were so bad. I suppose Raijah and I were moderately freaked out. We asked whether he'd looked at ours; I guess we wanted to be reassured that we wouldn't have to slave over yet another big project in order to complete this semester ( Read more... ) -

I'm down to two things left to do. I should have gotten a little more done on THOSE today, but instead I spent nearly the entire day grading the Intro assignments. As much as I actually enjoy teaching, I do hate grading papers. Tomorrow will be a lot more entertaining ( Read more... ) -

I've consolidated my list a tiny bit. I'm happy becaues there's not much left to do. I took my theory final today, and finished it in the three allotted hours, which means that I get the easier grading. (People who took it home for 72 hours get graded harder.) I have to grade my students' papers, finish my theory paper, do the stupid quant ( Read more... ) -
