I KNEW YOU WOULD LOVE THAT.

WoM represeeeeeeeeeent.

I think that means Chris Chibnall is not writing for series 6, but if it turns out he is, he'll only be nabbing a single episode.

Have you watched Life on Mars? Matthew Graham co-created/wrote for that, so I'm quite optimistic about him coming back to write for s6. I may take back my enthusiasm while I'm cursing the cliffhanger hiatus, but we'll see.

I had forgotten it was nominated, though I'm sure I knew at one point. So proud, best episode ever, WOM is flawless, etc

Did we ever hear if ...what's his name... Paul Cornell is writing any? I want him to come back, I always liked his stuff.

I watched one episode and then wandered away. But I know it has cult status and is apparently really good (lol, I don't watch good television!) so yes I am glad to hear it. Something about doppelgangers, unless I read incorrectly? But I approve of that, doppelgangers are always hilarious.

I think there was some speculation that Paul Cornell might come back, but I don't think anything was ever confirmed. (I just checked the DW wiki, apparently Paul Cornell, Toby Whithouse and Tomb MacRae, who did Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel, are all rumoured to be writing.)

LIRL does TV require like... a base level of lulz before you watch it?

I don't... know anything about doppelgangers. Oh wait, "Gangers"? The name of one of the episodes? Who knows man, maybe it's about doppelgangers, that would be awesome and lulzy.

OMG that quote. I laughed so hard. I want to work at BBC America and come up with quotes like that.

So we start off with a two-parter? Huh. Alright, Moff, alright.

I'm really curious to see how this break in the season plays out, both on the show and with the fans.

I'm so wary of the break, because I think it could go badly, but on the other hand, I do think it will keep things more interesting around this time of year -- I mean, we'll have/have had a finale recently, instead of the huuuuge gap between seasons right now.

My thoughts exactly. I'm more in anticipation for seeing how fandom will react lol. But, depending on how it goes, I could possibly be one of those flailing in front of the television at the break. Or snorting because it didn't live up to the hype it's been getting for forever. (Hello cynicism!) Personally, I don't see why they decided to split the season in the first place, but I've never had to wait in between them until now either. Don't know what the wait has been before.

The basic reasoning behind the split was to spread it out so that there wouldn't be such a long wait in between seasons. Right now the run schedule is April-July, so that means effectively August through March we don't have any new episodes, save a special at Christmas. I think the idea was to keep the show at the forefront of the BBC's lineup throughout the year.

I watched the whole thing and it was hilarious. I also love the daring involved in doing a show dedicated to a series a majority of viewers probably aren't familiar with, lol. The preview clip or whatever from the night before, with the Dalek, was great as well.

Oh, Waters of Mars. I love the episode, I do, but mostly for Brooks. Fierce.

SPEAKING OF FIERCE, HELLO ALEX KINGSTON. I like this theme of her kicking ass in gorgeous evening wear. Okay, I just love River.

Eleven and Jack would be fantastic. He'd hit on Rory, and Amy would be like "well, isn't it my lucky day?" Amy in general around Jack would be horribly amazing. Now, if River and Jack...near Eleven, the poor, poor sod.

Thanks a lot BBC Amurrica, but I'll still be liking the full glory of the episode, so...yeah.

I really just know Mark Sheppard from Leverage, and I love him on that.

LOL I wonder how often River gets dressed up and ends up leaping out a window/airlock/door.

I had heard that BBCA runs the full episode the first time, and the cut-down episode only on reruns? But I'm not in America so I can't confirm or deny that, lol.
