I had to steal this from
rose_of_pollux simply so some of my friends can steal it from me....

I second Hayao Miyazaki's genius in the movie department. Ghibli makes good stuff.
I liked the Loki Iron Chief cook-off thingy too. Yamino didn't get nearly enough time to shine in the series. And HEY it was actually mostly canon!
Though, with the doing the letters of your name in a list of characters, I'm reminded vaguely of all those year ago back in anime club proposing that a true otaku should 'be able to recite the ABC's in anime titles' and happily watching the fallout.

I have noticed in the library it's the obscure stuff more often than not that you can actually find the first volumes on the shelves. (Which might go to explain some of my preferences, actually.) The popular stuff rotates too fast if you don't bother to put holds on things.
Beyond that, I gave up on trying to watch the stuff on tv YEARS ago. (Between Dub and tv editing it's not the same at all.) So I'm sorta out of synch with what's popular at the moment over here. (Beyond the big three of Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece that is >.>) So, although I don't read Marth Grimes, I do get the reference.
Still there's always a point where you never know what you know until you actually stop to think about it.

Staying up til two to watch something dubbed just isn't worth it in my opinion.
(Quincy might have worked if we were person/places/things in addition to titles. (Er...that is, if Bleach was out at that point...I don't think it was.)But yeah... titles are sparse. There's a Queen something-or-other or two but they're old school enough that none of us knew em.)

It's been years -- I thought she was animated too -- the eggbeater sure was, and I think the river/pond/whatever it was...
Tried to find a copy of it on YouTube, which often has this sort of odd thing, but couldn't...
