Wanted: A Quote

Help me fannish friends.  You're my only hope!

I have to do a presentation in my class tonight about Henry Jenkins' Convergence Culture, and I wanted to talk a little about Jenkins' role as a fandom scholar, as a potentially divisive figure, how his work has evolved, etc.  And I am trying-- believe me when I say I have searched the Internets far and ( Read more... )

I'm distracted. I'm trying to convert an engineer's draft technical paper into something intelligible, but the longer I work on it, the lower my IQ drops. It's a mess and I'm going in circles.

In other news, I've been circulating the insights of your freshmen sages. It's fun.

Speaking of pink_spelunking, would you consider co-moderating it? Your presence would be fabulous, and frankly, I'm so white, it mostly just sits there unplugged.

I hear you. I'm trying to write a presentation on online fandom, except doing that research requires searching the Internet, and my intelligence level is inversely proportionate to the amount of time I spend online.

I love that you're circulating my students' (which, by the way, includes people who are above freshman level) wisdom. Hopefully, it will start a humor and grammar revolution. Either that, or it'll get me fired. Regardless, wacky antics will ensue!

I'd co-moderate that. The fact that I'm not a gay man who loves vaginas isn't a problem, is it?

That's okay. I'm not really worried about the page number; I'm just concerned with the fact that it shows up all over the Intarwebz.
