I need a footie icon...

  • Much as I'm backing France, I actually think that Uragay will win this one, mostly because of how much France struggled to qualify (and even then, it was hotly contested...  just ask the Irish who won't. stop. whining. about. it.)
  • Those horn things are immensely irritating. I don't care if they're traditionally South African, and bring the spirit of ( Read more... )

Realistically, we won't either. But then there is the rumour floating around that our players weren't playing seriously during the friendly games to not get injured. Until Tuesday we won't know if it's true or not. :/
England has to do what he has to do tomorrow. It's already enough that we'll most likely lose against Brazil.

the special relationship is over and the anglo-port bday is on the next day. What could possibly go wrong there, love? ;w;

The England vs those 3 minicomic was also precious.

Isn't it obvious that the Canadian team owns everyone (not only) at hockey? 8Ia

For now, we're not playing that bad. We can't... score, as usual (mwahaha, penalty avoided \o/. I'm going to love my goal). We'll never learn orz
But lol, Japanese referee

I won't be able to watch the game tomorrow ;A;. But I'll support you, don't doubt it

Arg, the drums

That fancomic really is lovely. ;3; atiko June 11 2010, 20:37:45 UTC
Well, that was anticlimatic. France, I am le disappoint. :T

Apparently one of these horns has more dezibel than a hydraulic hammer... thing. wossname. So I think the vuvuzela will absolutely kill any attempt of chanting, or even other noise of any sort, in the stadium.

Too bad. :/
... or not. In fact, we will buy a million of these, and then let's see you try and sing that "10 bombers" song. AHAHAHAHAHA. GJ, Africa. :)

Oh, and it's just that most of Europe will probably hate you long time if you lose tomorrow, but no pressure. ;-)

They're louder than chainsaws, and carry health risks of permanent deafness, and render the teams on the pitch unable to communicate, and drown out the sound of bands, and songs from the supporters who've paid thousands, and flown thousands of miles to get there.

/slow clap.

Aaaaand theeeeeeeeee RAF from England shot one down~ And the RAF from England shot one down~ and the-- lmfao. We're such a nation of little bastards. How could you even want to stop that? ;3; ♥

I was totally going to get out one of these vuvulezas and go < font size="+9001"> 'NO U' all over your journal, but then----

... d'awww. C: Buhyoo.

A friend of mine pointed out yesterday in detail what would have to happen in order for Germany and England to play each other. I forgot those details because I'm awesome like that, but it involved both of them beating crazy strong teams like Brazil and Spain and idk. It's not looking good for our friendly, relaxed match with happy exchanges of pleasantries. :(
