Rod Stewart.. there's something about Rod Stewart that does this to people.

He was newsworthy here recently because he reached the ripe old age of 60, prompting the press headline: "Do you think I'm sixty?"

..which was momentarily amusing.

Maybe he needs the cash?

I have to say though, this artistic bankruptcy of Mr. Stewart makes the artistic triumph of his longtime friend/rival, Elton John, that much sweeter. His new album is brilliant. I've been meaning to write an entry about it, but then again, I've been meaning to write entries about lots of things...
