She wasn’t quite sure why she had sought out the blonde; perhaps it was the fact that she didn’t want to go to sleep on her last day on earth. Part of her wanted closure for her old life in Sunnydale and Harmony’s company offered that. At first she wanted to bring up the hurt that she had felt over Harmony’s last betrayal but those thoughts faded as she watched the blonde try to prove how much better her life had become. Instead they had reminisced about the good times prior to Buffy’s arrival in Sunnydale, when they had ruled the school together. They had giggled over the old crushes of the past and the silly carefree life they had once lived, and as Cordelia returned to Angel’s penthouse suite, she felt much lighter and better about her final mission from the Powers That Be.
