The storm had come on suddenly, almost as if it had been called down by magic. But Faith didn’t believe in magic, even though it had been ancient magic that had called her as a Slayer, so she didn’t worry about the intensity of the sudden storm. Clouds obscured the clear night sky as she was heading towards the motel that she unfortunately called home. As the cold rain started to soak through her clothes, her only thought was to get back to her room as quickly as possible, so she decided to take a short cut through the cemetery. As soon as she stepped on the cemetery’s lawn, Faith felt a prickling sensation between her shoulder blades, but as she attempted to scan the area, the heavy rain obscured her vision. The brunette pulled out her stake and cautiously made her way through the cemetery. The rain was coming down heavily, which made it difficult for her to see anything, as she had to watch her footing since the grass was quickly turning into mud in areas. As a result, Faith wound up tripping on an exposed tree rout and she fell face first into the wet ground. On the way down, she hit her wrist on a tombstone causing her to lose her grip on her stake, which in turn went flying out of her reach. As she struggled to stand up, the prickling sensation between her shoulder blades intensified. She tried to shake off the feeling as paranoia by telling herself over and over that it was just a result of the rainstorm.

Before she could stand up, Faith was hit from behind causing her to go sprawling into the wet grass again. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she was rolled over. Faith’s mouth opened in surprise and shock as she stared into Willow’s green eyes. The brunette couldn’t really think of anything other than how the redhead was dressed in tight leather that clung to every single curve, and how her vibrant red hair clung to her head from the rain. The Slayer had never seen Willow look like this, especially since her eyes were filled with cruelty and hate, not the normal jealousy and insecurity.

“Willow?” Faith asked as she stared up at the redhead.
“How do you know my name, Slayer?” Willow snarled in response as she sat down on top of Faith, effectively pinning the brunette to the ground.
“Are you alright,” Faith asked in confusion.
“Why don’t you just shut your mouth, Slayer.”
”Look you’ve had your little joke. How about you give it a rest now?” Faith said as she struggled against the redhead.
“Why don’t we play a game instead?”
”Get off of me!” Faith shouted as she pushed up harder against the redhead.
“No, I don’t think I will,” Willow replied with a wicked smirk as she grabbed the brunette’s wrist and pushed them down above her head.

As the two continued to struggle, Willow’s face changed causing Faith to still as she stared in shock. It was what the vampire needed and she leaned further down against the brunette and sank her fangs into her neck. As Willow drank the rich and sweet blood, she could feel the Slayer’s blood racing through her veins. She decided then there that this new strange world was so much better than her own world, and that she would keep this girl as her own forever. She pulled back from the bloody wound on the brunette’s neck and licked her lips as the rain suddenly stopped. Yes, this Slayer would make a beautiful companion. Willow stood up and casually picked up the unconscious girl, and started to walk to the abandoned warehouse she had first found herself in.
