Just ONE tooth?

Try having all four yanked at once! Your entire face is frozen. Quite a bizarre sensation. :D Fortunately, I had a good dentist, so no complications or anything afterwards. Yay!

Hmm, same with my root canal. Doc was so good, I never felt any pain at all. Hurray for good dentists!

The other upper wisdom tooth never developed so I don't have to worry about it. I'm gonna get the bottom two removed sometime next year, so there will be a part 2 to this. :D My jaw doesn't hurt, but it kinda feels sore (like after a workout). Good dentist are awesome indeed.

Not only do you get all four ripped out, but your mouth is far too tiny, so the dentist is pulling your mouth open to a point where you feel as if your skull may rip in two.

Hell, I went to work the afternoon after having a vasectomy in the morning. In the words of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, is that Tough Enough? ;)

My grandfather got mad about waiting too long in the ER and walked up on a broken leg.

How about that?

My old man had six inches of colon removed. They sent him home after two days because he was driving the nurses nuts; he wouldn't stay in his room. He was out with his IV tree walking up and down the hall.

A week later the doctor called and got Mom. This was January in NE Iowa, mind. It was twenty below. The doc asked if Dad was up and around yet. Mom said, "He's out now walking up and down the road in front of the house."

He was eighty-one. Tough old man!

When my brother had his wisdom teeth pulled, he was eating pizza either that night or early the next day.

The pain didn't seem to bother him.

Damn your family and it's disgustingly high pain thresholds!
