RooG and I are officially Warriors! YAY! This was my very first mud run and very first 5k. It was hard and fun!

It's a two-hour journey by train from our house to Sagamiko, where the Warrior Dash was held. We had to change trains at Takao station, and came across this awesome tengu statue (with a less-awesome puddle of dried barf on the rocks to ( Read more... )

完走おめでとーー!!
This really looks like so much fun, even though I would've probably fainted after ... a short distance. XD

Thank you so much! If you (or anyone else that happens to be reading this) is interested, there'll be two more days of races, held in Chiba, next month. (website here: http://warriordash.jp/Coming_Events_E )And it's totally ok to even walk the whole darn thing if you want to, so don't worry about fainting. The atmosphere was really fun and friendly. :)

Wow, impressive! Don't feel bad about doing the easy versions -- "easy" is quite relative in these things!

Thanks a lot! Hopefully someday I can graduate to the big-girl obstacles, though. :3

Congrats on the run!! The obstacles at these things can be so daunting; massive props for getting through them.

And I have to admit I squeed when I saw you'd picked up Bioshock; it's one of my all time favorites! So happy to hear you're enjoying it.

Hi Ezio! :3

Thanks for the kind words. Bioshock is really fun but I hope I get better at it quickly. I'm playing it on Easy mode (the game said Easy mode is for people who are "new to shooters", and that's definitely me) and it's embarrassing how weak I am in a fight in that game. D;

If it's any consolation, I was pretty awful at Bioshock as well! It was my first FPS, and I was alllll over the place. I found the shotgun was a great weapon to use early on since it's spread was so wide and it did crazy damage. And it definitely takes time, but after a while, you'll get used to the way the camera controls and how the weapons aim. Plasmids are a ton of fun too. You don't have to be quite so precise with them, so they're super helpful in a pinch.

That looks so fun! I would have had to walk to whole damn thing though... running and me don't mix. :/ I was really surprised by how many gaijin were in the pics. That's cool that so many people from the base joined!

There were TONS of our countrymen there, most of them in awesome costumes. It was really cool to see. :D
