Thanks for letting me know your thoughts and suggestions. As I said in my message I generally agree with your views on Brittany being the more dominant partner etc. but, in my verse, I dont want to go so far as to classify it as a D/s relationship, Though that could just be because of how I see the term - classifying a relationship as d/s just takes my mind to kinky places... lol, jk, but seriously, my first reason for not classifying them as being in a D/s relationship is because that's what most people will assume and I dont want there to be sexual overtones to the reasons for their dynamic. However, given your explanation I'm fairly certain that's not how you intend the term and if we simply say that any form of general imbalance of equality between partners is a D/s relationship, then I guess theirs is, but since most relationships are not classified as D/s despite there not being a 100% equal partnership and generally one parter being the sightly more dominant than the other I dont want to apply it to Santana and Brittany on that

I, personally, would like to know how it all started and how it evolved to the switching relationship that they have. Also, the question that is wandering through my mind now is why is Brittany far more comfortable with admitting what they do then Santana. I always thought of Santana as a person that was uninterested in what people say about her.
Also, keep up the awesome work! I hope another story comes soon. : )

I will be looking at how their relationship developed to what it is at some point soon.

There are two main reasons that Santana is umcomfortable admitting to what they do. The first is that in my mind Santana does actually care what people think of her, even if she wont admit it. She has a certain way she wants to be seen by those outside her inner circle of friends and family - badass, HBIC etc, which can come off as uncaring - but admitting that she submits to Brittany is not compatable with that image. Rachel has recently become a part of her inner circle so Santana is starting to open up to Rachel, but she's still not completely comfortable doing so. The other reason is that for Santana, when Brittany disciplines her it's something that is intimate and private in a way that sex is for most people (where as for Santana, sex is just a physical act and she's quite open about it - there is a reason for this which I am going to explore at some point in the future) Hope that makes sense.

I am really enjoying the learning lessons series. I know next to nothing about Dom/sub relationships so this is a true leanrning experience. It seems that Switches are not that common in the D/S world. I am curious as to how they moved from standard D/S to a switch D/S relationship if in fact that is how it happened.

Switching is quite uncommon, as I've discovered while trying to do some research for the verse but that's also why I find it so facinating. I will be doing an installment soon that will explain how they began switching

hey there i thought i would reply on here rather than fanfiction. i agree with Santana/Rachel being overall more submissive to their respective partners. i think it's interesting to explore the fact that Santana doesnt like punishing Brittany, and i think Quinn should be able to punish Brittany. I think if Brittany and Santana can only punish each other, it would effect the faberittina dynamic. I like the fact that Brittany is more dominant, but she is dominant because Santana allows her to be which is important; whereas rachel and Quinn's relationship is very different. the contrast could make make the cohesion before the 4 of them very interesting.
By the way loved the amount of planning you have done, i wait avidly for every installment, and if you ever want to talk about any ideas, i'd love to be your port of call. so please keep writing, the depth of the characters is whats makes this series so fascinating!!

I'll think about Quinn punishing Brittany, I'm just having a hard time seeing a situation where that would be necessary because I think that because of their past Santana would just fill the role automatically, though it may be interesting to see how Quinn handled Brittany in that position. You have a point about Brittany and Santana only punishing each other throwing off the dynamic,my thinking was that I couldnt see Santana submitting to Rachel or Quinn and the same for Brittany, though that may change if I can come up with a situation where she doesn't automatically turn to Santana for chastisment. I'll have to think it through.

I'd love to talk through my idea's with you - I'm sure I'm going to have lots as this series progresses. Thanks for the offer :)

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally - taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
