Okay. If we're going to have fucking cold weather this week, I'm going to try and blow freeze bubbles. My question is, exactly how cold does it have to be for this to work?

I was feeling very down this morning so I listened to "Happiness," by Alison Krauss and Union Station.

It's an incredibly beautiful and, contrary to the title, mournful song-perfect for how I was feeling.

Then I listened to it about twelve more times during the course of the day.

And every time I listened to it?

I felt happier.

Weird.

Cool.

Dude! Congress of Starlings is opening for Girlyman at Old Town School on April 24! This is very exciting.

But is it as exciting as the prospect of my parents (tried and true members of the over-60 Girlyman fan set) coming to visit that weekend? That's a tough call.
