My dad is in the hospital for the third time this year, and it's getting harder to be ok with it.

So my dream job ended up not quite being my dream job. I went to visit for a couple of days to experience the program, which ended up not being much of a program. The working students dont seem to get much in return for their slave labor. The trainer has brilliant credentials, but doesnt seem to be much of a teacher. Recently I have been thinking about how much chance affects me. How a chance meeting, or a chance discovery could literally change the course of my life. It is such a fragile thing. I have two tickets to the SYTYCD tour on September 30th in Syracuse, but it looks like I will be flying solo. None of the guys I am hanging out with would want to go, and I still havent become closely acquainted enough with anyone else to warrant an invitation. Oh well.... Update- So Im settling in pretty well, I still havent met any one really except for those fleeting introductions to people I havent seen since then. So I still eat meals alone, but hey, it's less to distract me from school work. I am still a fan of the single (room) life as opposed to having a double.
