Yeah, it was very "meh" especially when compared to "Moebius." *That* was the true series finale. This was just... extra stuff.
I didn't make a post about First Strike because I wrote one when I saw the ep a while back (thank you Canada!). But my impressions were still the same - I thought it was very enjoyable and the best they'd done since The Siege ('cause the s2 finale? Totally lame.) but I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I been ignorant as to what is to come with season 4.
I would have definitely enjoyed it more having not known about the season 4 stuff. I've had the episodes since they first appeared online but just never watched them. I wish I had now :/
I can't remember the details of the ep anymore, as I chose not to rewatch it due to its shittiness, but my reaction was definitely more 'wtf, that was crap' than "oh...that was it" =d
Fact is, it was an average episode. For a series finale, that's just not good enough. When they wiped out the asgard I actually thought 'whoa something major is happening in this episode' but then they went all time-bubble and at the end hit the magic reset button. Lame. Really lame.
