Oakie went to sleep for the last time around 5:45 this evening. He's buried in the yard near one of his favorite digging spots.

Goodbye, Oakie. You're missed.

Oakie, my elderly ferret, hasn't eaten any food since yesterday afternoon. Last night he was definitely acting lethargic. Before I went to bed I gave Oakie some Ferretone (an oil-based vitamin supplement), which he readily lapped up. This morning, however, his food wasn't touched, he has even less energy, and hasn't tried to beat up Ouzo. Right ( Read more... )

Ouzo is such a silly little fert. Last night M and I gave him his long overdue bath. We filled the kitchen sink with a two inches of almost-too-hot-for-humans water.
