IC:

The ferengi/vulcan had lost complete control of his shuttlecraft as it veered towards starbase 668...he was going to crash...there would probably be warnings coming ovber the comm...but it was down too.  No nav, no con, he was running on inertia alone...and fast.

Supak could see the side of the starbase looming, closer, closer...

A marvelous ( Read more... )

"First the Borg, now explosions!" he thought to himself. "And to think I asked for a position on a starbase... 'I won't have to beam down to any planets, so I ought to be safe.' Ha!!"

"What the crap?" Rob McKay asked aloud as he heard the impact. He grabbed his tool kit and ran into the corridor, tapping his com to contact his underlings. "McKay to Case. What the hell just happened?"

"Unknown sir," the junior officer replied to the chief engineer. "Looks like something hit us."

"Any idea where? Or what?"

"Reports indicate heavy damage to Charlie deck, section 34."

"Thanks Case. Have a team meet me there. McKay out."

"Aye aye, sir."

McKay double timed it to the crash site. Upon arriving he shouted to anyone in earshot, "What the hell just happened here? Did anyone see anything? Who's responsible?"

Supak rubbed his bald head; there were lumps where there weren't supposed to be lumps, and they hurt worse than losing a game of Dabo to a Naussican. He looked around, seeing starfleet security and engineering personnel milling around. There was a medic or doctor or something standing over him with a tricorder. He wasn't sure how he had survived. Someone had obviously sabotaged his shuttlecraft, but who? All he was doing was rendezvousing at this little hole-in-the-wall starbase to delive a small quantity of illegal explosives to his contact, and then was to get on his way.

Ugh...explosives...well, those were gone, now. He touched his head again...

After a minute, another starfleet person arrived...shouting ratnher loudly, "What the hell just happened here? Did anyone see anything? Who's responsible?"

The vulcan/ferengi raised his hand and grinned "I think that would be me..." He winced in pain again.

"I think that would be me..." a figure said.

"You!" Rob voice angrily, his eyes wide. He walked toward the figure. "Just what the hell do you think you're doing here? Do you have any idea how long it will take me to repair this?" he asks, motioning to the hole where the bulkhead used to be. Bits of flotsam drift past the emergency force field.

Rob seems to be turning red, whether from the run over, or from supressing his rage is uncertain.

OOC: I realize I may have come across a bit ... beligerant. It's all in good fun though. Welcome to SB668 ;)

The loud man glared at him, wide eyed and angry: "You! Just what the hell do you think you're doing here? Do you have any idea how long it will take me to repair this?" He was motioning wildly at the slight hole Supak had created in the bulkhead. Was this man red ( ... )
