[Action/Video] A new enemy.

[If Starkiller learned anything here, one could not live on protein cubes or the Force alone. He wanted to think he was above begging his roommates to cook something for him. Even when his stomach was protesting loud enough to sound like an angry rancor ( Read more... )

[Ami, tactfully, doesn't laugh; instead, she makes a very simple offer of help.]

I can help you with that one, if you'd like. I used to use them back home.

I'm done with it. More trouble than it's worth.

They're very convenient, once you learn them.

Or a pain. Isn't it easier to go out and pick something up? [No more experiments in the kitchen for him.]

[Really, it was difficult not to notice the commotion. He'd been outside working on the gummi ship, and then-- ...well, he didn't know if it was so much a disturbance in the Force as it was a disturbance in the household, but he still came running after a moment. The broadcast on his communicator was really all he needed to convince him to investigate further.

Obi-Wan tries very hard not to laugh when he steps foot into the house, taking sight of the fried microwave and the flooded kitchen floor. By the Force, he somehow manages to keep a straight face as he looks at Leroy Starkiller evenly.]

Oh dear. Defective, you said? It was working fine yesterday... What exactly happened, Leroy?

[Nevermind that he's pretty sure he knows darn well what happened.]

Who cares. It's a heap of scrap metal not fit to quick fix a ship now.

[It's still sparking at him! He gives it another charge of lightning before sending it out the door with the Force.]

[He takes a leap backwards at the sudden sparks, watching the further electrified microwave go sailing out the door. Are your Oafy-lecture senses tingling, Leroy? Because they should be!]

Leroy! [He looks at him, exasperated.] There are better ways to deal with problems than abusing the Force! [And now he's crossing his arms over his chest all stern-like.] I would be very interested in knowing what happened.

[Lucky for Leroy, he's mostly learned to tune out the lectures. Just smile and nod. Or nod in his case.]

Such as? [He doesn't know a better way to get his point across.]

What kind of technology is that?

[Some one who also does not know what a microwave is. ]

Does it really dispense food?

A useless piece of scrap.

[No, he's not bitter. A little hungry maybe.]

According to another it's meant to cook food that you put inside.

I see, something to warm it up? It looks like a very classic piece of technology.

I don't recommend trying it.

[....if it wasn't for the fact he knew some people didn't even know what a communicator was, let alone a microwave, this would have been prime evidence of stupidity to him. Nevertheless, he doesn't look all that impressed at the man when he decides to set him straight on one thing.]

That thing does not dispense food. It cooks the food that you're supposed to put inside it. Obviously, if you don't put food inside it, you're not going to get any food out of it.
