this is great. i am sort of surprised that the fictional marxist-feminist doctors that want to incapacitate the confused dave sim with drugs have heard of dave sim, know his views on politics and have read cerebus.
and 'The more the merrier as long as they all believe in God and aren't feminists', should be printed on a t shirt.
the difference i think between momus and dave sim (one of many of course) is that i think momus sort of espouses whatever philosophy was in an article or art show or record he had seen or heard the night before. i think he's intentionally creating a me vs them argument to look at a few sides of an issue. i also think he enjoys pissing people off sometimes. dave sim, judging basically from this letter, comes across as believing that the entire world (or medical profession in canada) is against him. perhaps the mainstream government is against some of the ideas he has but i have a feeling out of the few thousand people that have even heard of cerebus very few are in a place of governmental power. he comes across as almost delusional, and really he's putting his life in the hands of a yahoo group based on his comic book. only if you pledge allegiance publicly to his philosophy. this makes dave sim, of course, much more entertaining than momus. he's crazier and he didn't mention how great japan is one time in that letter.
Dave hates this, but it's trivial to include him in every 'problem group' he identifies. Maybe he only pioneers every philosophical sin he identifies (chicken or the egg?) so he can better describe them.
