I just got a link sent to me from Crystal @ ASO/A-S.net. Apparently, some Gen Art Film guy went up to Stanford at SXSW (was he at SXSW? There is no photographic evidence of this shit anywhere.) and started talking to him about something they were talking about on myspace ( Read more... )

That's why I only add celebrity/band myspaces if they say they have one and give the link to access it. If you don't watch out, crazy shit like this usually comes up.

o.O Bizarre... You know, I was going to say that maybe he just picked the prettiest picture from Google image search or something, but I'm not even sure if the A-S.net picture shows up.

Hmmm... Maybe he thought it was Stanford's official site or something. o.O Because. You know. Clearly, he does no actual research. It even says he doesn't have a MySpace on Stanford's real site, doesn't it?

No. They would've had to have saved ASO's banner and then cropped the picture out of it to get that. It's from an article in Telegraph in 2003 which Crystal made pretty and cropped and all sorts of stuff.

I don't think they really meant it maliciously, though. It's more like they just sort of thought, "Oh this girl made this website and then put it on the internet where it doesn't really belong to anybody, because nothing belongs to anybody on the internet!"

I can understand how they might not get it, not being part of this world and part of our honor system. But, you know. Dude. You're a part of it now, and there's a code, and you broke it. So. All you've gotta do is ask. Or credit. Or e-mail. Or, hell, I know you lot have a fucking wire image account..

There are a lot of options. I mean. It could be one of his friends fucking with him. It could be a fangirl. It's actually a fangirl, because all of her pictures go to a photobucket account "joaquinlover", as someone pointed out to me. I mean, I knew it wasn't him. I just didn't know who it was. But. Fangirl.

But he really, officially doesn't have a myspace. According to his official site.

That sucks that they stole Crystal's image, I looked at it and was like, "WTF that looks awful familiar."

Now if only there were a way to figure out which MySpaces really belong to the real Toby Hemingway and Sebastian Stan.

That one has a lot of faulty info on it if you pay attention. But it's also the one Live Free or Die has linked on their homepage. I thought about sending a message to Live Free or Die about it. I think I'll do that now.
