What the hell is feminism anyway?

In my love of documentaries, I was watching one about the women's right movement. It started with the early years of the 60's, they interviewed all these wonderful older women who were active in that time, many of them still are and their courage and their bravery was hugely inspiring to me

I think prostitution should be legal. Leaving out for now some of the horrible things that go with it (some because it's illegal, duh) if someone wants to sell sex and someone else wants so pay for it...so what??

Make it legal, safe and clean.

And there are male prostitutes, too, so how that works into feminism I don't know.

And I'm with you- I've never been into the man-hating side of this crap.

Yeah, here in Germany it is actually legal - they get health insurance and pay taxes and all that stuff. Its pretty good cause it reduces the the connections to other crimes.
Actually I'm always surprised its illegal in other countries.

Right on the spot. I think that this modern feminism takes things too far, as if we women are those poor victims of men, even when they are not raping/abusing us.

I do have something against media and women though, but it is more about imposing only one standard of beauty!
