Kenren stood silently in the hallway. His heart was racing, shocked over Tenpou making the first move. However, that would soon change. Tenpou chuckled behind closed doors: knowing, that Kenren was in for more than what he bargained for, yet, the mischievous field marshal was in for a surprise.

A lecherous smile curved Kenren’s lips. He was plotting, though not deviously, even though his expression claimed otherwise. He wanted to draw Tenpou closer, so to speak.

Sighing, Tenpou leaned against the door: he was waiting for Kenren, but the general had yet to show: what was taking him so long? He wondered, adjusting his glasses.

Normally, Kenren would have made chase by now, though he failed to do so. He was growing a little timid. Had he done something wrong? The thought crossed his mind, but Kenren was far more so with his actions.

Tired of waiting he peeked into the hall, “Kenren?” he whispered, only to find the corridor empty. He quirked an eyebrow and rose to his feet, stepping into the abandoned hall.  There was not a soul in sight, however he perked up to the sound of distant footsteps; curious he decided to follow the faint trail.

Kenren walked on, hands shoved in his pockets and a smirk on his face upon hearing quiet footsteps follow suite. Apparently, step one had worked; get Tenpou to follow. He did not wait, and kept on trekking until he happened upon a deserted field of crimson flowers. He stopped in mid-step, ceasing movement once at the bank of the hill that over looked the field.

“Beautiful, aren’t they; this field of flowers?” He questioned, and turned to face Tenpou who walked right into him.

“Why yes, quite romantic at that.” Tenpou answered, softly.  Blushing as Kenren’s strong arms embraced him, not sure how to react.

He sighed and rested against him. Kenren’s chest was warm, soothing. A light breeze picked up, though the general’s body heat protected him from the cold. When the breeze picked up more, petals were swept away gently from the ground; presenting them with flight.

A soft chuckle escaped Tenpou’s lips as he plucked a single, stray petal from the air, “Striking resemblance.” He said, pensively and lifted his gaze to Kenren. Kenren raised an eyebrow, and tilted his head, “Resemblance, to who?” He wondered, blinking.

Tenpou smiled as his gaze met the other man‘s.  Green eyes twinkled with laughter: Yet, another analogy that the redhead could not seem to grasp.

“To you of course: Their grounded, yet, are lifted through a gracious wind.” he replied, looking thoughtful.

After all, he was not expecting flowers.

A sigh escaped Kenren’s lips. What was it with Tenpou’s analogies? He never could seem to grasp them fully, but he made this one too easy, unless it meant something deeper.  That had to be it. Crimson eyes narrowed slightly, before taking Tenpou’s chin in his hand, suddenly.

Leaning forward, he planted a tender kiss on Tenpou’s lips. Tenpou smiled, chuckling.
